Financial health check

Eight questions across four pillars — spending, saving, borrowing and planning — each scored separately out of six. It answers one question directly: is there anything you should sort out before you start investing?

What it does

Two questions per pillar, scored on their own rather than averaged into a single verdict. The result names the weakest pillar and what to do about it, and gives you a total out of 24 for context.

How to read the result

  • Read the four bars, not the total. A total is a mean, and a mean hides a zero. Three healthy pillars and one at the floor is not a middling position — it is one problem.
  • A pillar at zero overrides everything else. Zero means you gave the bottom answer to both questions in that pillar, which is a stated condition rather than a low score, and no amount of strength elsewhere makes it safe to invest on top of.
  • The weakest pillar decides your next step, and the result tells you which one it is and where to go with it.

This assessment is for learning, not financial advice. Nothing you enter is saved.
